Dear Mom –

Our mail, which had been slow for several days, came thru yesterday and I got two letters from you postmarked the 6th and 8th and one from Ginny from the 10th. You had received my first letter from France. Glad to hear that the #20 came thru O.K. – I expect to send some more soon. I’ll be paid in a few days now but won’t draw much as I have to pay #22 for the allotment that wasn’t deducted in March. I’ll still draw something over $9.00 so I’ll try to send $25 or $30 I have left from June’s pay. I still haven’t heard from Gene although I wrote him when I first reached France. Hope he is making out O.K.

I’ll write Ginny tomorrow if we’re not to busy. You realize that I can’t tell from one day to the next just what I’ll be doing so I really can’t tell if I’ll have time or not. I’ll write as often as I can.

            So long for a while.

            Love

Jack -
