Dear Mom –

I’ll steal this few minutes before lunch time to drop a line – Everything is OK as usual – Took some pictures the other day and developed and printed them – I’ll send them when I can – I’ll also send that package I spoke of within a day or so –

The mail is slow – Probably because of the Xmas mail rush – How is it in Richmond this year – I guess it’s almost time for it now – When I went to Liege I saw their version of Santa Claus which looks something like a cross between our idea and a priest – The town is pretty well done up for Xmas and is relatively untouched by the war – Prices are high – but the quality of some of the stuff is quite good – Got an ice cream sandwich too –

I know you’ve heard me speak of Jimmy Kertsown is a good friend of mine – Well he won a trip to Paris for 48 hours and about $36 expense money – we each chipped in a dollar and raffled off the chance – Lucky boy –

So long for this time – I’ll write again soon –

Love,

Jack
