Dear Mom –

Not so busy at the moment so I’ll drop a line – I know you’ll be glad to know that I’ve finally got the allotment business straight – Starting in April I will have $50 sent to you directly – I have had the war bond cancelled – Use what you need of the money and save the rest – or buy war Bonds with it – whatever you think is best.  How does my bank balance stand now?  And how many bonds have I?  I’ll get paid a lot of back pay so will send you a money order at the end of this month – I know we’d get it all straight sooner or later – I had the matter of the missent bond investigated too and that will come in time –

Had a letter from Cheatham and he’s at Quantico – that’s not so far from Richmond so perhaps you’ll see him sometime – He’s at ordinance school for 8 months – See I’d like to see him and the old gang – I miss them – miss all my old friends – our parties – driving to the beach or going fishing or to Washington or just roller skating – we used to have a lot of fun together –

I’ll write again when I have time.  So long for now –

Love

Jack
