Schleusinger, Germany.

Dear Mom-

Well we’re moved again-to the above practically unpronounceable town-We’re again operating as a Station Hospital-taking care of sick and wounded (accidental of course) We haven’t any patients as yet but will probably be busy again I have a nice room-we’re in a school building-Last place we were right out in the woods-in an effort to keep cool-Here we are quite high and the weather is cool + damp. We got rations today. Plenty of cigarettes, candy etc-first we’ve had for quite some time now-Saw a movie last night “Meet the People” with Rick Powell-We’ll have them here quite regularly now I think-I’m enjoying the rest-

I think it’s swell that you and Gene are having Aunt Kate’s house wired-It will be a great comfort to her-Incidentally hoe does her land + home stand financially? Is it under mortgage? To whom and for how much-? I imagine that sooner or later that will be over home so we should look after such things-Let me know when you write-

See it was sweet of Helen to paint that picture for me-and she chose such a good subject too-I’m going to write her today and thank her-as I am sure you already have.

I’m going to send another package soon with some more pictures-I got a 127 camera and I’m now useing the film you sent.

It seems as if we will also fight in the Pacific Theater-Don’t get up hopes of seeing me too soon-It shouldn’t take too long over there however-

Keep writing mom-and don’t forget that letter I asked you to enclose in one of mine.

                                                                        Lots of love

                                                                                    Jack

P.S. Note the change of A.PO-339 from now on-
