A.P.O. 90

Oct. 27, 1945

Dear Mom-

As I wrote I joined the 90TH Division.  The APO is 90 and not 403 as I wrote in my other letter.  I’m in the Infantry now- no longer a Medic.  This division expects to go home before very long and I hope to go with them.  We’re having inspections getting clothing and equipment etc. in preparation for a move to the boat.  I still have hopes for Xmas at home.

The 47TH is no more.  I was about the last man in the outfit to leave- as I came back from France to find them all gone.  However I’m with a bunch of the old fellows now, they came to this outfit too.

School was swell.  If I hadn’t ad hopes of going home I would have stayed there.

I’ll write again when I know what the score is-
