November 3, 1945

Dear Mom-

I’m still here with the 90th Division but I expect to leave tomorrow. Perhaps it would be best not to write any more as the letters would probably never reach me in the E.T.O.—

The redeployment situation is looking better now and I’m still hoping to make it by Xmas or at least new years,-Don’t send any Xmas presents and if anyone asks you don’t let them send any either-Don’t open the boxes I sent as they contain some presents of my own.

The mail is slow-chasing me around from the 47th to Biavritz back to the 47th and then to the 90th-That’s why I say you’d better cease writing—

I wonder about Gene-Hope he is OK and will soon be home-

I wrote you I think that Marjorie joined the Army again-She is to report for duty once more on the 5th of November.

So long for this time-Hope your arm is all better by now-Say Hello to Ginnie-

                                                                                                            Love

                                                                                                                        Jack-
