Hello Dot

Well sis, I suppose you know by now that I am somewhere in North Africa. Well, I visited Casablanca and also Oran. Oran is a nice town and so is Casablanca. The Arabs dress kind of funny to us. They wear sheets both dark and white. Some of them, the woman I mean, cover there face. They talk very little English here. The country is beautiful. The nights are cold but the days are nice and warm.

Boy, I bet Gordan is all up in the air over the new car. But I think he should have kept old Lizzey. Ha ha. She sure was a good old girl. Better he should get cash in the hand. Old Joe doesn’t pay so hot.

Glad to hear the girls are getting along so good in school.

Bet that young man keeps you on the go. He sure is all boy but takes after you for those dirty little tricks. Ha ha. You better start to get a little tough, unless you want him to be like Erbin but I think he will take more after Earl. Remember what a cut up he was? Ha ha. I wouldn’t want your job. I couldn’t be mean to that kid anyway. Ha ha. He's my best buddy.

Tell Gordan I hope he holds out a little longer. That’s until we get back to help him on that beer but I don’t think he will need too much rest. Ha ha. He sure is getting fat. The job seems to be agreeing with him. Ha ha

Poor old Kate she sure has her hand full but as soon as it gets warm she will be out and around again. Ha ha.

About Gordan and that bed problem. Ha ha. You should be around this gang after eating C ration. Boy, some of these hang around for half an hour. Ha ha.

Boy, I sure would like to be there for breakfast. You two guys arguing about boiled or drip coffee. Ha ha. We get ours out of a twenty five gallon can. You take it with no drip. Ha ha

Hope ma is better by now. That leg is getting worse if you ask me. She should take it easy. After awhile she will be in a wheel chair.

I think it’s a good thing for Roy to get in the army. Maybe he will put on a little weight. That woman of his is going to kill him any how, so he may get a little tough. I don’t think he will ever use any action. I hope this ends soon now. Things look good at the present time. I think the army will give Roy a rest.
