Port Ewen, New York

June 29, 1946

Dearest Jack,

I received both your letters upon my arrival in Port Ewen.  The reason I didn’t get them at my home was because I had a week of school to finish up and the rest of my family was up in the P.E.  My mother had the mail forwarded to P.E. so you can see why I could not answer sooner.

My mother and father forced me to come to P.E. for the summer.  They think I’m too young to work, especially modeling.  So I’ll be stuck up in this hole all summer.  When I go back to school in September I am going to see if I can get a part time modeling position.  I won’t be able to send you any shots (glamour) since I am unable to work but I will take some pictures in my new bathing suit and you’ll have to be satisfied with it for awhile, at least until I get back to the city.

P.E. is just as it ever was, packed with a bunch of male wolves and as dull as ever but it is cooler than the city.

Well I’ll sign off sending my regards and love

As ever,

Elsie (the body) ahem

P.S.  Please send a picture.  I wish I could send you a regular photo but as I explained it will have to wait. (I’ll make the ones in my new bathing suit super.)
