Dear Mom,

Got your letter day before yesterday, so am going see if I can tell you something a little different this time.

Got a letter from Bernice today. She said that Faye was not feeling too well. Faye’s health is not very good, is it? She also said that Laton had a touch of the Flu.

Just got back from a pass this morning. Myself and another boy from Landbrev Vt. went to a little town near here. I had a pretty good time.

Did I tell you I got a letter from Addie saying that she and Ralph had broken up. Too bad, but I guess they couldn’t quite hit it off. The more I see of marriage, the less I think of it!

Say, will you write and tell Virg to write to me? (and write some yourself.)
