Fall Brook

California

Hello Boy,

I got a letter from your sister yesterday. I wrote you a letter, but she answered and told me that you was in the Navy. It was Lizzie and she told me your address. I will go home for Christmas, I do hope. How do you like the navy pal? I am still on patrol duty, and boy, do I like it. I have been out of the states lots of times. The Navy is ok, but I am trying to get in the regular Navy now. Have you been out of the states yet? You wasn’t lying when you told me that you were going to join the Navy. Lizzie told me that Dr. Turner died the 6th of this month. I understand that everything in Richmond is dull. Edmond Page was home last month of his furlough. I know you are glad to get mail, because I know I am glad to get mail myself. Joe you must write when you are not busy. I must close now, for station identification. This is Fall Brook signing off in California.

Your Pal,

Ellis

Keep your finger in that V shape.
