You Darling:

Got 5 letters from you in the last 24 hours so I’m one very happy boy tonight. Gee if I had you here- I love you completely to death. They were my first letters from you for a long time though so I was only half here. I wanted some mail so badly, and I guess I hit the jackpot. I also got five letters from home. That was swell too but honey your letters were so swell. I love you honey. Believe me, more than any thing in the world.

There’s only one thing to mar all this and keep me from being completely happy is the lack of orders to come back. You’ll probably think I’m crazy after reading my last letter, but I was so lonesome and blue that I just felt awful. However your letters helped a lot and now I have regained some of my timism and again feel half way confident of seeing you soon. Honey they can’t keep on disappointing us at all times and surely will be lucky sooner or later. Don’t you think so Sweet? But honey I want you to wait for me no matter how long we have to wait. I hope it is soon but darling wait for me, no matter how long. I’ll be back to you first and to the rest later. Some of these days I’ll prove it to you too.

Your Dad is probably back from Montana today and I hope he had a swell trip. I’d like to be coming in at the same time. We’d see who you’d run to and kiss first. Your Dad or I? Gee darling I’d like to be in your arms tonight and be somewhere it was quiet and we could just be there and be content being near each other and very much in love. We could talk and lay our plans for the future. It’s going to be fun planning for us honey and then after this is all over to pick out our home. I have some very definite ideas about what I want too and I only hope we can agree. I think we can for it will be the first thing we disagree on if you don’t. Honey, I too think it would be nice to have a church wedding and if we can that’s what we’ll have. But as you say we can decide that after I get back + we’ll have a lot of fun at it too. Only one thing I insist on, that it be quick, O.K.?

Honey that guy in your dream had better be me. If not I’ll be jealous and honestly I’ll be that way sometimes after we’re married for honey you will be mine always and I won’t want any interference. I guess I’m sorta old fashioned in that way. I love you so darned much.

I have been going to a school again this week and learning to drive again. I got my first set of Army licenses last June a year ago at Ft. Harrison but now they’re giving us a refresher course. It’s very dry too, dull and very uninteresting. I’ve been missing you too very much and honey loving you every minute. So - - - do you love love me? You’d better. So honey write to me after and I’ll be collecting those kisses in person instead of getting them on paper. That’s o.k. but they can’t compare with what I remember.

I have to shave and go to bed so I’ll write again tomorrow. Dream of me and love me darling.
