Darling Dear,

Your lovely Annie Bensiry card mailed Sept. 26^th, reached me today, and it made me so happy. It’s so pretty, and you are such a thoughtful husbie to have it made and sent it. It’s the first mail from you since your grand letter on Sept. 15^th, which I received the 27^th, so I was really glad to have it. Janie is five, her new toofie delights her. Today, for the first time, she has branched out and has two different kinds of food as her dinner: She had orange juice, beets, and peaches for dinner, plus of course her bottle as usual. Her weight is exactly according to schedule for 9 months, 15 lb 3 oz!! I have not been so very well lately, and must have a complete physical examination next week. That means a Wee Bottle!! Nothing is actually wrong, but I don’t feel like myself. Could be I’m just lonely for my beloved. I am- my darling, so very lonely for you. I miss you and I need you, and every day without you merely emphasizes it. Still each complete day is one less to spend without you, and puts us one day nearer together! I want to be “us” again!
