Dear Friend & Brother,

Just a few lines to let you know that you and the rest are utmost in our minds. Wish you could be with us to-nite as it is Former Member Night and we expect quite a turn out. Do you remember Brother Cleave the one from Connecticut? He works at the I.B.M the company sent him to California and he went out one way and back another and he took pictures out and back and is going to show them and from what we hear they are very good. We have your mother and dad bowling with us in the Sunday nite league and are they getting a kick out of it. It is a lot of fun just watching them they try so hard to beat each other. I guess your mother is a little ahead of your dad and they both are en-joying themselves. It is a mixed league and some of them had never rolled a ball until two or three weeks ago and we are all enjoying it very much. How is the weather in that part of the country? It is getting quite chilly in these parts. Let’s hope we don’t have snow for awhile yet. Do you get to see any foot ball games? Union Endicott got beat by Johnson City last week the first time in 14 years. Not so bad. It might have been worse if it wasn’t a down pour. Well Ward, it is getting late and I must bowl so will bring this little note to a close. Hoping this finds you well and happy and wishing you a safe return.
