Dearest Clara,

I will write a few times to you on this, I have already written a five page letter to you, but I will send a few of the v-mails in between, so maybe it won’t be so long in between letters. I am O.K. and hoping you are, and being good for me, but you will never do anything wrong to hurt me will you dear? I finally had to fix the watch band for the Cpl. it didn’t take long, I fixed it before I started this letter. I suppose you are as busy as can be, you always are doing some kind of work, and I know it’s for both of us. Darling I hope to hear from you soon.

With all my love and kisses to my darling wife Clara
