Dearest Clara,

Honey I got 2 v-mail from you today, sure was glad to get them, its sure nice dear you always manage to get one or two letters a day for me. I couldn’t sleep good either if I didn’t get a letter to you. I bet it scares you when grandma has those spells, it’s a good thing there is a Doctor. Close isn’t it dear? You run the cats out huh! Were they bothering you, I’d much rather have the cats, than flies, wouldn’t you? I know you always try to get 2 letters written to me, I really like long letters from you honey. I sure am glad that you got the checks; it will help you a lot. I hope grandma is better by this time and glad to hear she is better. I bet you wish I was there to help with the work, I’d love to do it very much, It would let you get some rest. It sure isn’t fun over here but that can’t be helped, I wish it could honey. I hope you got your washing done it will help. I will write a long one very shortly.

With lots of love my dear wife,

                                                                                                      Johnny
