Admiralty Islands

Dearest Clara,

Well honey, I have all your letters answered, so I will write one of these. I didn’t get any mail today, but I had your others to answer, so that wasn’t so bad. I went to church in the mess hall, before chow; I liked it very much. I got my bath but had to take it in a bucket, haha! The little tank [of water] went dry, it’s surely better than none at all. My head hurts some from the sinus; I wish I could get rid of it. It makes me so tired; this heat doesn’t help any either. I hope this finds you well dear and Grandmother too. I got one more letter to get answered and that’s Mrs. Parkers. She sure is wondering why you don’t write. I told her in the last one I wrote to her. Well honey, be careful won’t you? I will always. Write real often.

With All my Love and Kisses to my Wife, Your husband Johnny S.
