Dearest Clara,

It is just about bed time, and I have to get up early in the morning, so I will get this written to you before then, honey.

It is cooling down some, so maybe it will be better to sleep. I dream of you a lot of the time, it is rather nice too. Dave just finished the Chinese boys’ picture. It sure looks like him. It would be nice if I could draw like that, wouldn’t it dear? I’m sure glad I have yours already on its way to you. It probably will take some time for it to reach home. I sure ran downhill on this one, can’t very well straighten it out. Be careful sweetheart and do write often and I do my level best too. Good night.
