Sept. 21, 1944

Dearest Clara,

It is just about nine o clock, so I still have time to write. It looks like I will have to do some dusting again, as it sure does settle on all of my things, I have all of my clothes covered, so they won’t catch any of it. I tried to get a few more cats eyes to send, but haven’t found any one that has them. It rained awful hard last night after all, but it is all day again. Honey I might be able to get a few French stamps for your album, but won’t promise, because he isn’t sure that he will get a letter from their for some time. Be careful dear. Write after.

With all my love to you honey.

                                                                                    Always your husband,

                                                                                                Johnny.
