Dearest,

After receiving quite a few of your letters, I don’t know just what to say, especially being out here.

First of all you told me about my making a lot of plans four our getting married on our return. I am very sorry if I over stepped the future. I thought our getting married was planned by the all of us. You told me in one letter quite some time ago that your mother has agreed to it. And I know your sisters have agreed to it. Stella anyway. Gene seems to agree with it. You even said you discussed it with your boss. Darling I wish you would stick to one thing. You’re as changeable as the weather. You even bought suitcases to go to Florida with me. Now you write to me like this getting married stuff is all new to you. Maybe I have been away too long. Is that it? Have you found out that you just thought you loved me? I know what the main trouble is, and that is that something or somebody has put a lot of foolish ideas into your pretty little head and you believe it when you hear it. Do you not think I am capable of making a living? Wanda I look at it like this. If two people love each other enough they would go through hell together. They’d start at scratch and they would work up into the world. They would go through any kind of hard ships together for one reason. And that is for the love for the each of them. If we were to get married maybe we would have to struggle though life maybe it would come easy, but that’s the chance every couple takes for the sake of love. Don’t always look at the dark side of the world. Try to overlook it.

Wanda, Darling, I am not trying to talk you into anything, or something you don’t want to do. It’s just the idea of the whole thing. Do you know what? If I were to get a leave tomorrow or next week I wouldn’t know what to do. I wouldn’t know whether to go to Phila or to go right straight to Florida.

Now don’t let this letter get your feathers all ruffled up. Believe me it was hard to say all this. But I would like to know what the score is. Of course I still love you, but I am kind of worried about vise-the-verses.

Answer this soon. Tell me everything.

                                    Love Always,

                                                Dick
