Midnight Wednesday

My dearest darling,

This will have to suffice as a letter, honey. I’m not quite up to par these days. I suppose you are very angry and very puzzled. Please don’t be. I love you with all my heart. I’ll always love you. I can’t tell you much of anything in a letter except I’m not very happy and I’m having a little family trouble. No one has spoken to me for two days; Mother won’t even touch the baby anymore. I’m just at a loss. I know I shouldn’t worry you but there’s no one to talk to. Darling- don’t ever leave me.

I hope I’ll be seeing you soon. There’s nothing to write about but I wanted you to know I love you, we’re okay and I’m not angry.

                Goodnight darling. Keep smiling.

                All my love,

                                Marguerite
