Dear Mom and Pop:

I’m sorry I didn’t write right away but I wanted to make sure of the date that I’d be home. I’ll be home on Thurs, around dinnertime I guess. I received the money O.K. The dentist found two more teeth to pull that are getting abscessed. They’re front teeth too. I talked the dentist into waiting until I come back from my nine day leave, so I’ll have my teeth when I come home. Well I just wrote these few lines to tell you I received the money and to tell you when I am coming home
