Dear Mom and Pop:

I’m sorry that I didn’t write for a while, but I guess you’ll understand its getting near the end of school. I got the Easter box and it was really swell. I also got the box of chocolate from Uncle Den yesterday and it’s practically all gone now.

I’m glad your feeling better now and am also glad you don’t get so tired when you walk a long distance.

It seems like an awful long time since I was home but then again it wasn’t really long. I think I was pretty lucky when I was down in Banbridge getting home so much. Some of the fellows in our class have only had 5 days at home so far and most of them have been in 6 mos. I’d like to call home but I’m going to see where we go first. We get our order in about two weeks and then I’ll know whether I’ll be going back East or whether I’ll ship out from the West Coast. I took Communion a few weeks ago but I didn’t take it Easter. I went to Chapel on the base and it was really nice with all sorts of flows and a lot of white lilies all around. It was really packed too. I got a letter from Ray yesterday and also Miss Speater. I’m going answer her as soon as I finish yours. I think I’ll go over to sick bay this afternoon as my foot hurts. I think I twisted it somewhere. It doesn’t hurt much but it’s a good way to get out of Calisthenics. After all I’ve been taking them for almost 4 mos. now and took every one of them too. They’re really rugged with the Obstacle Course. Well I guess Ill close these few lines. Take care of yourself and Pop too.

All my love,

Alfred
