Dear Mom and Pop:

I just received your letter and the key today. It wasn’t my locker key, but it was a key to one of the desks in the office. Hardly anyone uses it and I didn’t even miss it.

I suppose that I’ll be home the weekend of the 20th, but if anything comes up I’ll write and let you know. Walker had planned on his being off the 20th and I thought that I would have to work and then be off the 27th. He didn’t notice it either so I guess it will stay that way. He told some friends of his in Allentown that he’d be up the 20th, so maybe we’ll switch weekends again, but I doubt it.

Well I don’t have anything to write about so I’ll close these few lines for now.

            All my love,

                                                Alfred.
