Dear Mom and Pop:

Well it’s only a matter of 18 days so far till I get out, and it can’t come to quick to suit me.  I think maybe I’ll get out a little earlier.  That’s the way it’s been going so far with the rest of the fellows.  One trouble is that you have to go to the Receiving Station for discharge instead of getting discharged right from here.  It’s all still in Washington, but it’s an awful lot of trouble moving all that gear.  I guess I can stand up under the strain though.

How are you feeling by now mom?  I hope by now that your feeling a little bit better anyway.  I think when I get home it will be a little better and maybe you won’t worry about too much.  That’s the trouble you know.  You say you don’t worry but you just can’t help it.

I sent a package home this Saturday.  There’s nothing much much in it.  Just some things that I won’t have to pack and carry.

The other woman here in the office is going on leave for about a week so that will leave me here along around my last week to work.

Well I suppose I’d better close now.  See you all soon,

                                                                        All my love
