Dear Mother,

Here it is another week pretty near done for and does time go slow. We’ve been pretty busy the pass few days taking test and having a few nite classes and getting up early in the morning so in all we don’t have a lot of time to ourselves. So by keeping busy we have to be good. We’ve been going out on problems and their quite a few watermelon patches so I’ve been eating a lot of melons and their good. They taste better when we steal them huh ma.

Oh yes the sun came yesterday for the first time so I’ll be getting it now and thanks a lot it seems good to be able to read the home news. Is the excitement still up the same in the big city? Hows everybody? The best of health shape, and are you still having leg trouble? I hope not. Has Fred or Thelma been up since I was home? Oh yes send me Freds address I lost it and can’t find it. I wrote to Thelma last Sunday but couldn’t write to Fred because I didn’t have his address. Well ma haven’t much to say but its just a few lines to let you know I’m just fine and taking good care of myself so don’t worry huh ma. Must close so its just bye bye for now.

                                    Love to all

                                    Leslie.

P.S. I’m sending you this paper which is the war bond I’m taking out so save it for me. Thank you,

                        xxxx        Love             xxxx
