Dearest Mother:

I suppose by now you’re thinking that I’ve forgotten about you all at home by the way I haven’t been writing lately, but I haven’t though I’ve  been a little busy lately.

I’ve been receiving your mail and I’m glad to hear that your all fine and hoping this letter finds you still the same. As for me I’m just fine and taking good care of myself the best I know so how’s that mother.

I’ve also received a lot of mail from Rita and she is still fine. In Thelma’s letter they’re all well and she said that Betty is getting to be quite a lady.

I was also glad to hear that Ednah is better, my but she’s having a tough time of it huh.

Glad to hear that dad is fine and that he is working and tell him to take it easy and you do the same huh ma.

In your letter you were asking me to talk a little about myself well ma, I’m still the same old boy and the Ramey is still in me. I’m feeling fine and eating good and take everything in all I’m holding my own.

My but you’re surely having a rough winter at home and plenty of snow. We had a lot of cloudy and rainy weather but this afternoon the sun came out and for a change it’s been nice and warm. In fact its spring coming and it sure giving me the spring fever. Remember the spring tonic you used to give us. They were the good old days huh. But it won’t be long now we hope and pray that we all can come home for good. Anyways I have big hopes and my big square chin is still high. Ha-ha.

Well mother must close for tonight but even though I haven’t been writing lately I’ve been thinking of you all and also in my prayers. SO don’t worry I’m fine and bye bye for now and I love you all dearly.

Love to all,

Leslie
