Hello Sweetheart,

Well I got a short letter today. I’ll try and write a few lines before I go to sleep. It’s about 7:30 but I go back on guard at 10:30. I just had supper a while ago.

Well Marge you said in letter you had almost given up coming. Honey we are leaving here about next Tuesday or Wednesday. I’ll tell you where we are going but you won’t believe it anyway. Camp Stewart, GA. It will probably take us about 3 days to get there and maybe a couple more before everything is straightened up. You may not hear from me for several days but don’t worry. That’s where we are going. We may only be there for about 6 weeks and maybe longer. We go there to fire our guns again. Honey you didn’t believe me when I told you last June we were coming here to take this for what it’s worth.

Boy I’m tired tonight. We had a hike this morning. 5 miles in 55 minutes. About half the fellows didn’t make it I thought I wasn’t either. I guess I’m to fat for that. HaHa. I still weigh 180. Maybe walking this guard will wear some fat off me.

Honey by the time this reaches you I hope you are feeling a lot better. Maybe you are working to hard. Marge take good care of yourself just for me. I love you more and more. You’re sweet. Honey if you don’t hear from me for a while don’t worry we will just be a while don’t worry we will just be moving. I’ll write you a big letter tomorrow. Now I need some sleep.
