Dearest Darling,

I don’t think I’ll write much tonight but just a line to let you know I’m thinking about you. I had to wait a long time but I’m still getting some letters you wrote back in Oct. I thought I’d gotten all of them but I got 3 more today that was over a month old.

I think I told you I’d gotten two packages but you asked again. It took about a month for the boxes to come.

Boy Satchie must really free hard. If he doesn’t watch he may get himself a wife someday. I’ll bet they are really a pair.

The mud here is about ___ feet deep now. And it doesn’t look any better either. Rain and more rain. Then it’s clear for ½ day and rains again.. Some mess.

Well it’s 22 hrs. now. That’s 10 o’clock in the evening. At midnight it’s 24 hrs. and then it starts over at 0100 or 1 o’clock. I guess they call it the 24 hour system or something.

Today was pay day. You should get two checks this month instead of one. At least they took the money out of my pay.

Honey I’m going to close for tonight. I’m really tired tonight but I thought this note would be better than none. Boy Marge I really get lonesome for you. Maybe one of these days we can be together again. I’m waiting till then and then we will really have a time. Be good Darling and don’t worry about me. I’ll tell you again “I love you” but you already know that. I love you more every day I’m away from you.

                                                                        Always Yours,

                                                                        Ralph
