Dearest Darling,

Well Darling, I’ll scribble for a few lines before I go to bed.  There isn’t much doing around here.  Too much static to listen to the radio and not much bull sh*t either.  For the last few days everyone has been sweating out their points and there really has been a lot of              .  A few of the boys have enough to possibly get out real soon but the most of us fell short.  Boy there are plenty of rumors floating around too.  None make sense to me. All I want to do is go home.  Maybe someday I’ll get there but don’t look for me too soon.

I got a letter today from you. You said Kate had left and you sounded kinda down in the dumps.  The letter was dated May 2nd.  Some of the fellows got letters dated May 7th.  That’s real good service.  Maybe our mail will really come there now but there are plenty of things that can mess it up.  Maybe we won’t move around so much now.  Boy I hope so.

Darling, I’m going to close before long.  I’m kinda tired and a little sleepy.  The days here are pretty long now and real hot and whether you do anything or not you get tired.

Marge, I’ll try to write you a longer letter tomorrow night.  Right now there isn’t much to write about.  Ill tell you again I love you more and more everyday I’m away from you.  I miss you more and more than you will ever realize.  Don’t worry about me.  I’m OK.

                                                                        All My Love,

                                                                                    Ralph
