Dear Father                                                                              June 19th, 1943

This pair of shoes is a gift for June 20th Father’s Day.  It is belated, but please accept it.  Please give [Amame] bobby pins for her hair.  It is fine weather here.  I am doing fine everyday.  Starting tomorrow, we are going to seed satou daikon [sweet radish] in 160 acres in Elberta.  I took a day off today.  I washed clothes and went shopping.  I also went to Provo.  Please say hello to everyone for me.  To my mother, howdy Ma.

This is a clumsy letter but please accept it.  Please write me a letter in Japanese.
