Dear Mom:

Am all alone tonight, all the boys are gone home. Sorta homesick. Won’t get moody though, that wouldn’t help matters any.

Tomorrow is the day, I hope I do all right. I thought once about not going but I got to thinking about it and finally decided that I was not going to be backward all my life so I set my head to it and am going through it no matter what happens.

I knew that you would like “How Green Was My Valley!” It was really a good show. If you want to see a good show see “Son of Fury.” I saw it down here last week.

My raise will really come in handy, maybe I can save a little money now, I hate to not have anything saved for a rainy day.

I received your letter this morning, it was really a nice one. A mother Is a fine thing to have, don’t know what I’d do without you. I love you a lot, Mother.

Have about run out of news and it is getting sorta late too.

Give my love to Daddy and Ben.

            See you all next week-end-

                                                                                                            Love,
