Dear Mom:

Received your letter yesterday and was I glad to hear from you. You don’t know how much it means to me to get letters like that one from you. It means a lot to have someone believe in you.

Herein is the $10 and a buck for Ben. Tell him to have a good time while he is little.

I will be home for sure this weekend. I will try to be there Friday night, but it may be Sat. Morning so don’t worry about me. If anything unexpected happens I will wire you.

Mother, a portable radio like you mentioned is one that will play on batteries while you carry it around or on the regular house current.

I will write to Theron next week for sure.
