Saturday

Dear Mom,

I am writing this in a large hurry.  I am going home with Charles for the week end.

I got the shirts and medicine ok.  Thanks a million.  They come in mighty handy.

Enclosed is your cash.  Hope it is OK.  Here is the ten and the $6 I owe you.  Also a buck for Ben.

Give my love to Pop and Ben.  I’ll write you a long letter Mon.

Your Son,

Roy

Mother,

Here are my applications for my air corps examination.

Please sign them and have them notarized by Mr. Davis or someone.  If they will not notarize it except in my presence just send them back and I will wait until I get home.

Send them back to me as soon as you can.

            See you all soon.

Love Roy

Mother, I guess it would be better if Pop signed on the top line.  Won’t let me down.

R.L.W.

Seal my self addressed envelope and mail it when you have them ready.
