Dear Mom:

Today has been a wonderful day. I really did some good flying, I am getting so I can make that plane do as I want it too. It comes to you gradually but you know when you have the “touch”.

Mom, I sure hope you will be well and sound again. I worry when you are sick. Get well soon won’t you? I will write Granny just as soon as I can. I can only get out a couple of letters a night. I haven’t received the card as yet; I’ll probably get it in the next day or so.

I am sending you a couple of photos, one with my cap and one without. They are not “8X10” but they are fair size though.

I guess you get tired of me cutting my letters so short but time slips up on me.

I’ll write you a long one soon. Honest.

                        Your loving son,

                                    Roy

P.S I hear from “Bee” pretty regularly.
