Dear Mom,

There has been very little news lately and I have been most busy. That is the reason for the lack of mail from me lately.

I now have 52 hours and I have passed my 40 hour check, to pass and I will have completed Primary. Keep your fingers crossed Mom, there is not much further to go, but lots of things can happen.

I guess you have gotten the pictures of me in flying clothes by now. I hope you like them, but I didn’t think they were so good. They will be good to remind me of my days in training. They will be very happy memories I know. Gosh! Mom, I have such fun, I’ll never forget these days no matter how long I live. This flying is like finding a new life. The more you fly, the more you want to fly, it grows on you and gets in your blood. This is a wonderful life, I wouldn’t exchange places with anyone on earth. This is truly a dream coming true. I’m happy Mom, nearly completely, I even got a letter from Anne, she is going to start writing again, and maybe there is still a spark still there. Just wait ‘til I see her again! I am going to open a new offensive on her; she had better have a lot of resistance.

Well Mom, I’ve got to study for a final examination in Navigation, so I had better get at it.

                                                                                    Will write again soon,

                                                                                                            Love to all,

                                                                                                                        Roy
