Dear Mom, Pop and Ben:

Received the picture the day before yesterday and have not had a chance to write sooner. Mom you will never know how much I like it. You all should have had that done long ago. It is swell. Pop look just a little scared. You look so peaceful, it was like a trip home when it came, sure seemed that I could hear you all speak. Thank you all, especially Pop, I never did think he would do it.

Mama, you may not be hearing from me very often for the next 4 weeks, it’s not because I don’t want too, but I have never been so busy in all my life, and we start night flying Monday night, that makes you worn out good fashion. Honestly, Mom, I did not think I could survive under such a rigid program but somehow we manage to carry on.

I am well but overworked and not too happy, but we only have 4 more weeks here and will go to advanced.

Will write Sunday when I have more time.
