Dear Dad,

Hope you are feeling fine when this reaches you and that you are ready for some good times when I get home ‘cause we are really going to have some fine times picnicking and such. Won’t be long and I will be there for a little longer than before. We are going to church too. I want to get you in the habit of going with Mom. It sure grieves her when you won’t go with her, church means so much to her and she wants you and Ben to be saved so badly. You have a bad influence on him by not ever going, you should be able to see that Dad. He is young and easily influenced; you know that everything you do is right to him.

Please Dad, don’t make it so hard on Mom by not helping her out when things have to be done, like having tonsils out. You know he would be better off and less likely to catch diseases. Please be more cooperative with her.

I guess you are wondering what kind of son you raised to grow up and preach to you about what you should do and so. I am not trying to tell you what to do Pop. I just want to come back to a happy home and it can’t be completely happy when it’s members pull against each other all the time.

Hope I didn’t make you mad Dad, I didn’t mean too.

Be seeing you really soon now. So long ‘til then.

                                                                                    Your loving son,

                                                                                                Roy
