Dear Mom and Pop,

Just a word to let you know I am OK and, as you can see, in Tulsa this week-end.

It is so hot I haven’t had time to do a thing but sweat and I mean sweat.

Sure hope it is cool when I get home cause I can’t take this heat anymore. The fine climate of N. Mex. [New Mexico] has spoiled me I guess. I think we will just have to move out there when the war is over. Sure would be fine for your nose trouble and it would help Pop too I believe, it is really wonderful.

As far as I know, my leave will still come up the 21st of August and I will be homeward bound, I should get at least a week at home, maybe more. Sure would like to know Corley’s secret for getting leaves. He has always been lucky though, some people are born that way I guess. I’ll just keep plugging along and hoping for brighter days to come.

Be going now. See you soon I hope.

            Love to you all,

Your son and bro.

Roy
