Dear Mom:

Received your letter today and as always was glad to hear from you. Glad you have found a good wallet, I surely need one badly. I wish you would be on the look-out for some “Beau Brummel” ties, they are khaki colored and of a hard finished material. I can find any here and they are the only ties I like real well. If you can find any I wish you would send me at least four. They cost about a buck a piece I believe, and I will refund your cash.

Oh, yes Mom, please send me Uncle Ben’s new address again if you please. I lost the last letter you sent it in.

We are planning to go to Tulsa again tomorrow but I don’t think we will get off as the weather looks bad and the mountain pass we have to go thru is closed in solid and the clouds are down below the mountains.

They won’t let us clear from here on the instruments because of all the mountains in the vicinity.

I got a card today from Granny Hill. I’ll write her a letter because I don’t think I will be able to get into town after a card as the weather is bad with occasional rain. It costs so much to keep my uniforms in good shape that I avoid all rain that I just don’t have to go out in.

There’s no news here, so I’ll be closing for now. Glad you enjoyed the cards and stuff.
