Dear Mom:

Guess I am really going at long last. Wig and I plan to leave here late tomorrow after we met the processing board. You should see the volume of papers we have to have with us. Nearly takes a truck to carry them all. About a thousand forms in all.

We have to be there on the thirteenth and we can leave here on the 7th so we will have a couple or four days to do what we want with before we start work. They really work you at a transition school, will be a cadet with gold bars soon.

They say we will go to B-29’s when we finish four engine training, but I will believe it when I see it on that deal. That is sure a lot of airplane to have to worry about. And you have to be pretty lucky to get into them. Lots of our class mates who don’t have as much time as we do and have already finished four engine trans are just sitting around waiting with us hope of getting into the big ones. I don’t much care one way or the other myself so I’ll just coast along with the tide.

Don’t be alarmed if I don’t get a bond one month soon, because when you change stations the bond allotment is automatically cancelled and has to be taken out again at your new station so there may be a delay in there somewhere.

I am not certain of my new address as yet but I am pretty sure it will be:

                                                NAME-

                                                SER.NO.

                                                STUDENT OFFICERS SECTION

                                                WILLIAMS FIELD,

                                                CHANDLER, ARIZONA

Better Close and finish my packing.

                                                            Love to all-

                                                                        Roy

Haven’t sent watch yet, will let you know when I do.

Tell Ben; here is a penny with the Lords prayer on it, he may or may not want it.
