Dearest Mae-

Time to jot down a few lines and tell you I am to study here at Fort Sheridan for three months and am delighted to be nearer to Cleveland - ‘cause I want to see you the first leave I get. It was grand to talk to you on the phone – oh, I missed you so very much! And then traveling thru Cleveland – the train sopped about ½ hr., but it was so early in morning. Will have to work very hard these next 3 months – I must earn my right for a commission. Please write often Mae, and I’ll do likewise. OK, Wish I had more time but off to a class. Will write later
