Dearest Hal,

Yesterday I took a chance on being picked up for pleasure driving and went out to Mrs. H.’s to see “Nana”. She wrote me last week that she was staying out there but this is the first chance I have had to go out to see her.

I was surprised to find “Nana” in bed. I thought she was well enough to be up some or she wouldn’t have left Blue Ridge. She said she hasn’t been feeling so well since she came to Mrs. Hartman’s. I hope she can rest and get well faster there. I can’t help feeling a little weary about her being away from the Doctor at Blue Ridge, but I hope she will be all right.

Sara is going to take a job. She has been in Harrisonburg for three weeks taking some training. I think she plans to run a mail order office for Sears Rocbuck and Co. I guess she will have Mrs. C. take care of Harry N. Incidentally, are you still opposed to my teaching school? I feel better and I could get a school if you don’t mind.

                                                                                                All my love,
