My Darling,

Had a little hike today along the Ohio River, the scenery was really beautiful. We had all kinds of written examinations on our intellectual and intelligence. Every night the Service Club on the Posh puts on a show which of course sometimes us men can participate. (“all men too.”) We are relieved every afternoon around 3:30 pm until 11:00 pm to go into Cincinnati, New Port, or Covington. –As yet Darling I haven’t left the Posh, but if I do, you’ll be in my heart and no one else will jode it out. I love you Darling and as each day passes I begin to realize what it’s like to be away from you.

Tomorrow I go on K.P., so I’m going to bed after this letter. –Everyone has been getting K.P. and I knew I couldn’t keep out of it much longer.

Every time I walk into the barracks the boys all lean back and whistle and say, “Some fellas can just wear anything, isn’t he cute.” –It just embarrasses me to tears but I guess I do look better in my uniform than I thought I would. –It fits me about like a corset.

It sounds to me like we may be shipped out of here around Monday. –Whether a rumor or not I’m not certain of its confirmation.

I cut the top off your picture Darling and it looks swell. –I saved the rest. –I cut it just at the tip of the baby’s head so there’s plenty left. –I put it in the first folder of my wallet and have been showing it to the fellas. –Believe me Pheety they think you’re the looks. “Where did you ever find her,” they say.

May get a pass home Sat. evening to Sun. evening at 11:00 pm to come home Honey. –If they give them to us I’ll certainly be there, but don’t have too much hope.

Am going to bed now and how I pray you were with me. –Maybe when I get settled you can Darling. See you soon and when I do, Oh Boy!

                                                            Your Faithful Husband,

                                                                                    Vincent
