My Darling,

I guess you’ll just have to write me a letter while I’m here if you’ll answer this right away. –I may be here another week and I’ll just have to hear from my Pheety, I miss you more every minute, and I love you so much.

I wish you were somewhere else where you could sleep as long as you wish and didn’t have to work. –You’re not in the condition to do any hard work for a long time. –I worry so much about you Darling and it burns me up to think of you out on the damn farm when there is work to be done. –When you get your allotment I hope you get a room with someone.

Went to a U.S.O. supper Saturday night in Covington. –We all went on a bus with our Top Sergeant and got home early.

Today (Sunday) we had the day off of course, so a fella and I went to Cincinnati to the RKO Albee Theatre and saw the Juk Spots, Ella Fitzgerald and Cootie Williams Baud all in person. –I thought of you Darling when I knew how well you like the Juk Spots. From there he and I went to the Fenwick Club U.S.O. Party for Supper, didn’t stay for the dance cause my Pheety wasn’t there so we came back to the barracks and are ready for bed.

We’ve been treated swell during our stay here at Ft. Thomas and my interviewer at the examination said I’d probably be put in a Railroad Battalion.

I think of you all the time Pheety so I wish you would write me one letter anyway right away because I think I’ll be here long enough.

I didn’t get a pass which I told you about and don’t suppose I’ll get any at all before I go. I want to see you so bad too. Write me Darling and I love you more than anything in the world.

                                                            Your Faithful Husband,

                                                                                    Vincent
