Le Havre, France,

Dearest Darling,

Today is Easter and oh what a beautiful day. Boy I wish I could have been with you today I’m so lonely for you. This kind of a day gives me that old spring fever. Remember the old saying, “Spring is the time of year when a young man’s fancy turns to love.” But for me not just any old love, it’s you I want my darling and no one else, you’re my wife, remember. – I hope you get my cablegram in time today. I sent it from the Red Cross last night. – I’m still coming home the 25th which is Thursday so darling all you have to do now is have a little patience anyway and just dream about what it’s going to be like when we see each other. I hope when I see you that you don’t have a hat on, I love you with your beautiful hair. Have you had it cut short yet, I hope so as you are getting too old to wear it so long. But – perhaps my baby still likes it long. – Are you still nice and plump honey. Do you weigh 135 yet, I know you weighed around 130 when I met you, and boy were you ever built then. You were so plump and lovely. I weigh 150 now, which is the most I’ve ever weighed. I never got very plump, but I guess my legs are a little bigger. Oh well we make a good fit don’t we honey. We’re just the same size.

Do take good care of that figure ‘til I get there my Pheety and in order to do that you must be good. NO DRINKING, NO NOTHING.

I love you for all I’ve got Baby!
