Dearest Mom & all

After so long a time I will try and answer all the letters I have gotten from you all in the last two weeks, haven’t been where I could do much writing but have been getting your mail ok guess it is about watermelon time in old Parker Co now. Boy wouldn’t a good one taste good now.  There are a few melons here but they are very small and are not much good some tomatoes and corn, we had corn on the cob the other day tasted pretty good too.  Mom you asked if I wanted you to send me a camera I sure would like to have one but I doubt if it ever got here and you would have to send the films and I know they would be hard to get, so just let it go. I could take pictures over here that you wouldn’t believe, but it would take to long and as I said it might not get here.  Sure hope it has rained there by now and makes those good tomatoes and everything sure hope your back is ok by now.  Pop who are you working for on the market guess everything is a good price how would you like for us (you & me) to go into the Produce business when I get out of the army, be thinking it over.  Well as I am about out of space will close for this time and will write again in a day or so

Love Marlin
