Paris, France

Dearest Darling,

Dottie I think this is a very good thing, now I must explain what I mean, honey I am in a hospital in Paris. I am not very ill though, so don’t let it worry you.

This is sure a nice place, I wish you could see it. Paris in the spring is just like you have read about.

Dottie I will have time to write you every day I am here. I think that will show you I write as I can. Tell your mother I sure would like to see her.

Sweetheart I sure would love to be with you tonight.

I can remember that night at Miss. just as plain as if it were five minutes ago. Honey you were so sweet and pretty that night. I can remember how your hair looked. I think you have very pretty hair and such a nice complexion.

But right now I sure have a blue feeling. Because I am thinking of you and can’t be with you.

Dottie we will make up for this time though won’t we honey? I bet you feel the same way I do about this.

I can’t tell you how much I like you because that is a hell of a lot.

Lesson I might get a chance to get you a picture of myself while I am here.

Honey I will send you [as many letters as] I can and also some pictures of Paris, okay? I bet you will like them.

Sweetheart I can’t think of any thing to write so I must leave for this time. I will write again tomorrow.

Remember I am thinking of you each minute. Lots of love and kisses for you and now good night and sweet dreams
