Dear Dottie,

I was really surprised yesterday at mail call when I was handed a letter that looked as if it had been all over the world. Yes, it was the Christmas card you sent me last December. Gosh I didn’t think you would even remember seeing that I only wrote you that one letter last October. Thank you very much for the swell card. I only hope you have written to me some more since then and will write to me more now.

As you can see I am overseas now. I am in Germany now, southern Germany someplace. I have been over for about three months now. Don’t know what will happen to me now. Maybe I’ll be in the Army of Occupation or maybe I’ll go to the Pacific. Which, I don’t know.

How is Irving now and where is he at or don’t you know? Could you send him my address and send me his please. When you write him tell him I said hello and Hubba-hubba.

I will write more often and hope you will do the same.

I will close now so be good, keep well and write soon. God be with you.

                                                                                                                                    Love,

                                                                                                                                    Arthur
