Dearest Dottie

Received your most welcome and sweet letter, and as always darling very glad to hear from you. I’m very sorry to hear your mother isn’t feeling well, tell her that I send her my love, and hope she gets well very soon. I know this heat has been pretty bad. I do wish I could be with you now, to take care of you, and love you, for that’s my dream, I hope times go by, so we will be together, and then you won’t have to worry anymore, for I’ll take care of you. I’ve been pretty busy tonight, I just had the chance to write, I had a patient that was pretty sick, and I had to watch him, very close, but now he is feeling much better, I’ll make a good doctor, what do you think, ha ha. Well honey, I’ll close again with these four lines, for mom, I do wish mother is feeling well soon, take care of yourself darling, I love you sweet heart.

Love always,

Charles
