Dearest Sweetheart:
How’s my loving Honey feeling
today? Fine, I hope. I’m feeling fine too and everyone else seemed to be the
same. I was disappointed again today. When I came home from work today, there
was still no letter from you. I would like to think there’s a good
reason for not having written, such as you coming closer to home each day. Then
before very long you would be right here with me. I’m just going
to pray and hope for that. Darling! Good luck is bound to befall us real soon.
It’s just got to.
My plans for tonight had been
changed 3 times. First of all I intended to spend a quiet evening at home, then Mom said
The glass tops for the bedroom set
came today. The one doesn’t fit so well and I’m going to call Mr. Coars tomorrow and tell him about it. It certainly does
improve the appearance. It brings out the beauty of the grain in the wood. The
3 pieces of glass cost $1750.
It was a little high to my estimation and that’s why I feel I should call and
complain about any unsatisfactory part of the work done. I’m sure Mr. Coars of the furniture house will be as accommodating as
before. Won’t it be fun to go out to buy furniture? Have you still saved those
pictures of tables at Carcan’s? After you get home,
perhaps we should get a subscription to “Better Homes and Garden.” We enjoyed
that magazine, didn’t we, Sweet?
I’ll say “good-night” now. Dearest –
Please keep well and remember I love you very much. I’ll be waiting, Darling,
with open arms. Please, come home soon. All my Love to you -----
Lovingly,
Emily “Kiss”
Good luck Honey
P.S. Enclosed 1 poem.
I like it very much.
